A little ghost sat on the window. He was looking outside to the sunny world. Sun… He had loved it when he had been alive. It had always felt so good. Nowadays he couldn’t go outside. It made him sorrowful. He wanted to go outside. So much. Just to enjoy the sun again. But it hurt him. He would need to be under something and couldn’t be on a beach that was visible from his window. He couldn’t play with the other kids. Those kids were alive, so he was stuck inside on the warm and beautiful, sunny day. He sighed quietly and started to sing a melody he had heard somewhere. ‘’Ghost stuck inside the house. Ghost stuck inside the house.’’
Then the other kids took notice of him and smiled. The ghost was sure they would laugh at him, but instead, they walked to the door and the ghost rushed to open it. One of them was tall, another one was short and flying with small wings. One of them had big wings. Another was green. They motioned him to come, but the ghost only shook his head, whispering. ‘’It burns…’ As he looked at the sun.
‘’Will it burn in the water?’’ Asked the tall boy. The ghost shook his head and they looked at each other. The one with big wings lifted his wing above the ghost and the tall boy and the bee boy held it above the ghost. He looked at them and stepped out from the porch. A young boy was floating down from the highest building nearby and a girl in the lake, covered in fins. They all helped the small ghost to the water and the sun no longer burned him. He sighed happily and looked at his friends. The tall boy didn’t come swimming but watched the others have fun with a smile on his lips, preparing everyone snacks.
‘’To be alive…’ Was a small whisper from the ghost. ‘’But you are.’’ The bee boy said. ‘’And you should be proud of it.’’ Said his best friend who walked to them to the water. The ghost looked at them and smiled. ‘’Yea. I am alive!’’ The ghost smiled.
